Half Marathon – Mission Accomplished!

15202646_10210987190736450_4016463168207117514_nMission accomplished! I ran my second half marathon ever on and I did it without stopping. Sure, I may have choked on water at the rest stops I jogged through and felt like I was hobbling through the last three miles but I never stopped. I finished in just over two hours and two minutes so I have a goal to aim for next year. I WILL finish under two hours.

Considering that my training background is more in speed and power I was pleased with finishing in a decent time and without stopping to walk. It all has to be credited to relatively consistent training (created and modified by Dr. Ivy Jordan) and solid preparation in the days leading up to the race. I have learned to be more forgiving toward myself in my training because things can always be modified.

If you have a desire to run a race but don’t know how to go about it, come talk to our running expert Dr. Ivy Jordan or another one of our performance physical therapists!
